Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 23 September 2026

Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related services offered through reportagofy. The courses focus on professional video operation, live signal management, content distribution, camera work, and creating reliable high-quality feeds for news programs and television broadcasting. It covers both one-time course purchases and subscription-based access where applicable. The policy governs transactions made by customers located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are processed and under what circumstances refunds may be issued.

Prices, currencies, taxes, and any additional charges

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate unless otherwise stated. Additional charges such as transaction fees from third-party payment processors may apply and will be shown clearly before you complete your purchase. No hidden fees are added after checkout. Prices may vary depending on the specific course bundle or subscription tier selected.

Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation, and payment security

We accept major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express along with other secure options such as bank transfers where offered. All payments are authorised in real time through encrypted gateways. Payment details are never stored on our servers. Authorisation occurs immediately upon submission and successful transactions result in an order confirmation email sent to the address you provide.

Order, booking, or service confirmation and when a contract is formed

A contract is formed once you receive an order confirmation email following successful payment. This email details the course access credentials or subscription start date. Until this confirmation is issued no binding agreement exists. Access to digital course materials is granted automatically after confirmation for eligible purchases.

Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods

Under UK consumer law you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which you may cancel without providing a reason. For digital content such as online courses this right ends once you begin downloading or streaming the material. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time but refunds are subject to the eligibility rules below.

Refund eligibility, exclusions, and non-refundable items or services

Refunds are available for unused courses within the cooling-off period if no substantial content has been accessed. Exclusions apply to any courses where more than 20 percent of the material has been viewed or downloaded. Promotional or discounted bundles may have different terms stated at purchase. Non-refundable items include completed live workshops and any customised training packages.

The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund

To request a refund contact us via the form on the Contacts page or email [email protected]. Include your order number, full name, and the reason for the request. You must also confirm that you have not accessed more than the allowed portion of the course content. Requests received outside the 14-day period will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Inspection, approval, rejection, and notification of the refund decision

Each request is reviewed within five working days. We will inspect access logs to verify usage levels. You will receive an email notification of approval or rejection together with an explanation if refused. Approved refunds are processed without further action on your part.

Refund method, processing time, and when funds should reach the customer

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing takes up to ten working days after approval. Credit card refunds typically appear on your statement within three to five additional business days depending on your card issuer. Bank transfers may take longer.

Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services, or promotional offers where relevant

Digital courses are supplied immediately upon purchase so the 14-day right to cancel ends upon commencement of access. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through your account settings. Promotional offers are non-refundable once redeemed. Partial refunds for unused subscription months may be considered only if cancellation occurs within the first month.

Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks, and suspected fraud

Failed payments will be notified immediately and access withheld until resolved. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded automatically within seven days. Chargebacks are treated as refund requests and may result in account suspension. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate order cancellation and reporting to relevant authorities.

Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. These rights cannot be limited or excluded by any contractual term.
